Thread: Driveline Shudder when wheelspinning. What is it and how to fix??

    I've had "tramp" a few times, but mostly get wheel spin. I find it happens when I've got wheels at lock, I actually figured its probably the ESP and traction control fighting to set things right rather than tramp.

    Never had tramp with launch control, it seems to allow slip. Mind you, I rarely use launch control, it's not exactly mechanically sympathetic

    A lot of front wheel drive cars suffer from axel tramp. Lay off the go fast pedal. Even if you dont get the shudder, it means wheel spin which isn't fast anyway.

    When I have had it before, it normally happens when the wheel breaks into severe wheelspin like when you take off in the wet and go over a drain cover. In the dry, even when I really get up it, I try to do it smoothly as possible and you only really get a little 'chirpy'.
