I've never noticed a code card. Had the unit unplugged to fit the MFD+ box & it worked fine afterwards.
Anyone with an Audience radio/CD - did you get a radio code card with it?
I bought a used Skoda with an Audience radio/CD. I didn't get a card with a code for it. Now I'm replacing it with an RNS510 so I want to get the code before I pull it out (so I can put it back if required or sell it). Not sure if they even have a code.
I know you can get them from the dealer - they have to VAG Com the car and send the results off to Europe to get the code.

I used to think I was anal-retentive until I started getting involved in car forums
Just looked at the manual and it does. Must survive being unplugged, but to put it in another car (sell it) I'd need the code. Can't imagine anyone looking to upgrade would go for an Audience though.

I'm wracking my brain trying to remember whats in my 2008 RS, I'm pretty sure its an Audience, but too foggy to recall clearly. Whatever it is, it never came with any code card. In fact any car I've owned from new that had them hasn't for a long time so I'm guessing the dealer doesn't give them out but rather tells you upon request.
It says in the manual it does have a code but you don't get a card. It will survive a battery change and pulling out, then back in (just did that only to find I need an antenna adaptor for the RNS510). Only if you want to put it in another car do you need the code, that's when you need to go to the dealer (Ross-Tech say on theior site that VCDS can't 'find' the codes).
BTW, a doddle to remove. Take off the surround by first opening the ashtray so you can pull it from the bottom, then pull it off working your way up. I almost managed just with my hands, but needed to use a small screwdriver try apply force from behind without cracking it. Then there are 4 screw covers on each corner of the Audience that slide stright out, small screwdriver again to push those from behind (access on the side). Then undo the 4 Torx screws (careful not to drop the top 2 down inside the Audience front cover, though you can shake them out). Pull it right out and take off the 2 antenna cables (they have a small tang you need to depress). Big black main connector has a tang to, then a flip up lever and it pulls straight off.
