Display todays date in MFD or RNS510?

Does anyone know if today's date can be displayed on the RNS510 or the MFD anywhere? Does it need to be turned on via vcds?

My A3 and A4 have the time and date in the bottom of the tacho dial. A3 also has on the radio (Symphony), but I cannot find anywhere to display today's date in an Octavia RS. (aside from where you set it on the RNS510)

Dont ask why I need it, I just want it on.

In the HU setup you can enter the date and time, but I've never seen the date displayed anywhere.

I have set the date, but to drill down menus to see what the date is is a pain.

If you set the date in the MFD, but can never see it displayed anywhere, then what is the point of the date setting? Is it so any fault codes etc can be date stamped?

Probably helps with the yearly service reminder

When I set the date on my RNS510 (latest maps & firmware) all goes well, but when I switch the car off & on again the unit resets the date to the default again.

DISREGARD, I have fixed this issue.

If you set the date whilst in a forest, but nobody saw you go into the forest, did you really set the date??

I've not come across a way to easily display it either other than going down through the MFD menu functions. I just check my phone if I wake up and don't know if I should be going to work or not...

I always know what day it is, but the date gets forgotten sometimes.

It could be quite handy to have it displayed.
