how deep was the water you were driving in? I dont think they guarantee your car will be sea worthy
On Saturday there was an epic storm which caused the main St of B Bay to flood to the level of the doors in the shops along the St. It was ridiculous. Every time a car drove by, a bow wave would send water underneath the doorways. It all happened in under 10 minutes.
Anyway, the link to cars is thus. I was driving dad in to get dinner and the car performed flawlessly. It never aquaplaned in spite of its 40 profile 225 wide tyres and displayed tremendous poise on roundabouts. I wasnt driving fast by any means, but I didnt feel the car needed to be babied.
Downside? Dad reckons the passenger side door leaks. Somewhere up near the top. Only a few drops or so, but thats a bit schit. I dont know about taking it in for warranty cos it was one hell of a downpour.
Anyone else had a problem?

Yes, have that leak on the drivers side. Only happened a few times in torrential rain, and then just one or two drops.
I had a good run thru local twisties yesterday in the wet behind a WRX, think we were both surprised by just how much she sticks in the wet..

I deliberately tried to slide mine in the wet on Saturday-obviously I need some brave pills as I couldn't do it. Maybe if I turned the traction control off.

Dad assured me it was just a few drops. It would be hard to recreate the deluge. It was from the top, too. Depth of water isnt relevant.
Yeah, Octy handles the wet very well. Grips nicely.

LOL I was there too... family holiday. I did notice a Yellow Vrs Wagon... was that you?
And yeah absolutely I had no problems, nil loss of traction and wipers are spectacular. They wiped off bugs ( decided to give it a try ), magnificent. Averaged 4.9L from Sydney to Batemans Bay.
Great!
Blue sedan. Pffft. 4.9L. I would rather 7.8L and silly power...
4.9 is pretty amazing. The RS was nothing short of amazing on the Clyde. Surprised a couple of motorcyclists... Not as good as my old GTI, though...
