Have you received a VIN from Colin yet? This should only slow things by a week or two all up.
Consider that Skoda is pretty much what keeps the Czech republic's economy alive, they will make sure its sorted quick smart.

not yet. i'm dealing with natalie. colin was on holiday when i went in.
she has given me a planned production build week sofar - wk35.
i have asked for a VIN and/or COM order number, but she hasn't been able to provide that yet.

as long as it doesn't miss the ship (whenever that sails off monthly) to get here by end of october!!!

Doesn't look good for people with cars in the pipeline. Just do the maths.
If they make 2500 vehicles per day and they are shut 3 days that's 7500 vehicles they are behind. If they can add 200 to a days production every day that's 38 days just to catch up. I suspect that adding 200 vehicles a day would be a big ask especially when the component suppliers are the ones who are having the production problems not the factory itself. The thing to hope for is that they prioritise sold vehicle production over those ones that are just being made for dealer or distributor stock.

don't put it that way.....it sounds very depressing!!!

i'm looking at this way (positive) - 3 days halt = 3 days behind. Give an additional day or two for the factory to reach its normal operating capacity. so a total of 5 days...make that a week....in delays.

    fingers....legs......eyes.....hands......all crossed!!!

I feel for you and I hope that your maths are correct but who knows how they work. I guess theoretically everything is only at most three days behind in the day that it's actually produced at most until they catch up. Maybe that's a more positive way to put things.

We had a BMW on order in 1984 when there was a big union strike in Germany (they actually made BMW's in Germany then) and in the end it took over 6 months from order till delivery so you sort of get used to waiting for European cars after a while.

Not good news - another delay on delivery.
I have been given a Comm no as being week 34 but no definate date on delivery from my on the ball supplier.
Although the lease company is saying December - but like everyone else i hate it when they are talking that long before delivery.

With the weather on our side maybe they can pull the stops out to make a recovery back to programme, I live in hope

I ordered my Superb V6 back in Apr.. giving enough time to maximise my current lease so a Nov delivery would be awesome.. but I could so have done with the new car now.. I've never had such a long wait for a car!!
