ahhh ok I mis-read your post
well, then im happy its being sorted for her
maybe she should get a skoda for her next car haha
Allianz? I get the impression they tend to o less sneaky things like that. Certainly AAMI and RACV have rating one for life or not...
I've been a member for nearly 20 yrs but 5yrs back racv burned us badly so I moved all cars away from them. Despite them having rating1 for life they explained it as something else a claim affects that isn't NBC or part of the rating.
We had no history of accidents EVER and a friend reversed into our parked car. We arranged all repairs and he claimed full responsibility and put it through his insurer AAMI we notified RACV about it and they rewarded us with increasing the premium next time around substantially.
13 claims in 15 years none at fault. Still rating 1, premiums are $470 for 06 Jetta, $700odd for the 01 GTI modified.
MK4 GTI - Sold
MK5 Jetta Turbo - Sold
MK5 Jetta 2.Slow - Until it dies.
Might just be a coincidence - seems hard to believe that could affect your premium but I suppose strange things do happen in big organisations. I've moved insurers because of massive hikes for no good reason - I've NEVER had an claim either way and the car has clearly depreciated (unless an Xtrail or Octavia is now a collectors item ). I'm sure its because the car is more of a riskier than it was last year, the area I live in went down hill or my house is in the potential path of more thunderstorms or something tangible. I can't be arsed asking why, jumped on the Internet and got a better deal both times.
Was told by my vw dealer at 45000k service they would only rotate if required which after servicing said it wasn't required.
So todate the jetta has 70000k's and still looks like may get close to 100,000, psi running at 40
