I’d be using ATE Ceramic pads with the DBA, though the ATE brake discs are probably the same cost as DBA, if buying retail.
Hi All,
Could I pls have your opinions on the street use DBA rotors and pads. Or suggestions on other brands...? I'm not looking to pinch every penny just want value for money without arm & leg without sacrificing reliability/longevity.
Thank you.

I've used DBA a lot in the past on customer cars (which was years back when they first started).
I did the rears on the Octy in 2017 with DBA rotors and DBA's Wagner pads and it is really good and a lot less dust. I'm told Wagner pads are crap and they might well be in some cases but they work for how I drive.
I've heard a lot of good things about ATE ceramic pads too.

Thanks Transporter & Brad for your responses.
Silly question, do pads specs differ between 340 & 312mm size discs?
try Brakes Direct, they'll lead you in the right direction and give you a good price for parts.

Not as good or long lasting as ATE Ceramics. I got 260,000km out of the front pads on 2008 Octavia and the rear one will do even more. The ATE Ceramics have the lowest dust output out of any pads I’ve ever fitted. Yes, they will cost you little bit more but in long run you will save hundreds of $.

I think the 340mm pad is bigger.
The 312/288 share the same pad.
If you have the Mk3 vRS with the 340mm front brakes then get the DBA42803 rotor. They are around $180 each. The standard 2000 series isn;t much cheaper ($130). The DBA Street performance pad are $140. I've never used them so don't know what they are like
