daytime driving lights in my new octavia

How do you get the Daytime driving lights to turn on?

i have seen 2 superbs in the last 2 days with these on and they look great.

I am talking about the smaller lights on the outside of the fog lights. they are in the same enclosure.

I have tried it according to the manual but it wont work.

"within 3 seconds of turning the ignition on with the headlights in the 0 position, pull the indicator stalk towards the steering wheel, and then in the up position for at least 3 seconds."

nothing happens, i just end up highbeaming with the right indicator on!

i am assuming that since the globes are there, and i have the 118TSI, i should have these???

is there a way i can check?

    thanks for your help guys.

Don't assume anything on a Skoda. My thoughts are that if you can't get them to work then they aren't there but I'd be asking my dealer to show me.

I have the daylight driving lights activated on my Superb, there is an on/off parameter in the Information Display under Setup/Lights and Visibility. Don't know whether it is the same on the Octavia though.

Mine is an 09 and for some reason doesnt have the setting in the MFD. I was reading somewhere that it was included in a software update, so maybe i need that.
