Quite an old pattern & the break-away point tends to vary a lot (and it's quite sudden).
Toyo R1R get some good reports if you must get toyo.
CSC3 are a better tyre but lots more expensive
have a look at tirerack. continental extreme contact DW are USD200 each. Sumitomo HTRZIII are even cheaper (someone here had them on their RS IIRC - or maybe it was an R36?) fresh Goodyear F1A are USD225 (there are cheap 2007 prdn as well - stay away); Michelin PSS are USD251 which might sneak in under the $1k limit
