Damnit. Someone beat me to it.

I'm very tempted to either paint my grilles silver or my roof racks black.
I've always loved silver grilles. (Not chrome)

do it guys ... it's the single most effective appearance mod you can do - and worth five times that price in aesthetic benefit.

seems a little excessive, but if that includes labour and no peeling etc, probably worth it in the long run.

assuming you have to lightly sand, the paint option isn't reversible. The smoother the surface the better the vinyl sticks, so the chrome grill will definitely not peel (mine's still perfect) ... and you can take it off whenever you want and/or put a different colour on.

That price was very similar to mine, so it would include labour.

I used a typical can of the metal spray paint from Bunnings on my Kia.
Almost lasted 2yrs, including bugs, washes, mud, dust, dirt... Basically, an abused car.
Started flaking as I was trading it in.

Wouldn't do it on this one though.

I'll let you guys know the quotes I get for the roof rails, roof and front grilles.
