    Trouble with reusable filters be they K&N or other brands, is they re only as good as the person oiling them. Too much oil and you ll be rich, not enough oil and you may as well run an open intake. If you want more noise and a little more top end at the expense of mid range torque, just pull the grate under the stock filter.

    If K&N is so bad why are they still in business and all of the cars i have owned with k&n filters didnt and have not had any issues.

    After i oil the filter, i dont drop it into the car immediately. I let is dry for a while and wipe out any excess with tissue, simple as that.
