I've got a 2009 Skoda Octavia vRS Racing Blue DSG Wagon which I got mid June. Bought it from Richmond Skoda after negotiating a good deal with George.
Got 4,500km on it after 5 weeks as I drive back & forth from Melb to Mildura. Averaging 6.8l/100km in the city and 5.7l/100km on the highway. Have seen 4.8l/100km on some freeway runs but the higher average speeds driving to Mildura have the highway average up a little.
Have driven a RS TFSI Manual too but prefer the diesel. The TFSI is ultimately quicker but it didn't seem to kick at any point - maybe cause it only 300km on the clock. Had a Mitsubishi Ralliart Colt with boost mods and a 2.5 inch turbo back exhaust previously and that kicked @ 3,000rpm when the turbo came on. Found the RS TFSI had more urge below 3,000rpm compared to the RColt.
Like the DSG too as I've driven manuals for 19 years and this is my first auto - getting lazy.
Cheers
