Had an issue with oil residue from base of oil filter and wanted to dbl check if it was loose oil filter. Loosened it and had a look at the oil filter housing and plastic arm and they didn't fit together.

Did some searching and called Skoda parts and turns out the wrong parts were installed or replaced. They had no record of the part number installed. I will call another Skoda parts dealer to dbl check.

Might be worth checking your own filter housing - be great if anyone can help or know if it's the right part, I think they're meant for a EA288 1.8 TSI not the 2.0 EA888.

Parts should be 06L115401B and 06L115678C. Mine were the same numbers but 401D and 678M, respectively at the end, they looked completely different and didn't snap in.
