    Campaign 34H5

    Hi,

I took my Octavia 1.4 TSI 7sp DSG in for its service a couple of weeks ago and one of the things they did was listed as Campaign 34H5 - Gearbox Software Update.

I was just wondering if anyone knew the details of that update. The gear changes feel different - less snappy and more sort of "slurred" and the response when taking off from standstill also feels different. I'm not sure whether I think the changes are better or worse overall. Presumably it's addressing some sort of issue - maybe clutch wear or something.

    Thanks.

It won't have learnt your driving style yet either, as all that would have been reset. Give it a while.

We just had our car serviced and this update. Since then, our DSG has performed a lot better than previously. We had very bad hesitation in 4 gear at 3500-4000rpm. This has not been occurring since, so happy with what changes were made. All up, car feels a lot smoother to drive with our gear changes slightly different, but more suited to our driving. Unfortunately, no idea what the point of it was from a fault or engineering standpoint.
