Cam follower

2008 Octavia RS tfsi 200bhp. No mods. 121k kms. Just did an oil change, will change fuel filter and air filters soon. While I've got the engine cover off I'd like to replace the cam follower as that has not been done yet. They're on eBay for $49.93 + $49.95 shipping... From the UK. Seems a lot for shipping such a small item. Anyone know a less expensive supplier?

Has the belt and or water pump been done? At those kms they should have, also by age. Ours is the same yr coming up to 60k but as it will hit 7yrs it is due.

Belt and pump were changed at around 30k kms, didn't own it then. Was dealer maintained. Based on the recommended schedule I still have 2 yrs or 50k kms until it gets changed again. Fine with that. Currently just want a cam follower who's shipping isn't equal to the cost of the part.

Thats an odd time to have been changed, but they used to do it earlier at 4yrs/70k but they extended it so maybe a dealer took advantage of the owner and did it prematurely. Its every 105k/7yrs so even though you might have 2 yrs time, its only another 14k and you will need to be doing it again. What's the price of them locally? If it is the same part as a VW car which is likely, sometimes I find the VW dealer is cheaper than SKoda for parts.
