Contacted Jmac at Alba, Still no response.

That's very odd cause normally he's pretty good at responding. I think it's likely then that he's either on holidays or very busy/playing catch up after returning from holidays.

Contacted Brisbane Prestige Skoda, Quoted $810 for a 60k! OUCH!

My 60 thou was $550... So happy I didn't get the DSG!!

nope.. Was quoted $810 for the manual service which i thought was way too much!
I was guestimating about 550, but so far all the places i cave called have been over 700.
VAGarage was $720.
and prestige and performance was about the same.

Sounds like the BS "QLD" tax is kicking in again... The only other thing I can suggest is giving Nambour Skoda a call and getting a quote from them, then calling Brisbane Prestige and asking them to match it. Brisbane Prestige might sharpen the pencil to match another dealer. They will not do so to match a non-dealer tech though.

Well just rang Bryan Byrt and they just quoted me $970.

Seriously though, have you been able to get in contact with JMac? Even though you're from the Goldy, he'll make it worth your while to travel to him in Brisbane....trust me.

Going to brissy isnt a problem for me. I work in Milton!
