Thread: Brake pad wear

    This is light braking from 100 ->50, accelerate to 70 ish, then mash the pedal for a hard stop (favourite set of corners coming up to a t intersection). So the pads aren't dead cold.....just lacking in power - ABS only just kicking in. This is on 4000k old continental contact sport 2's (OEM tyre) which seem to have excellent lateral grip.

    Dont get me wrong they're not bad, but compared to how touchy they are on initial bite, i guess they impress on inital then disappoint by not continuing the same vigour. If that makes sense?

    (PS i ride a sportsbike with 2x300mm discs for a 200kg bike - kinda makes the cars brakes seem limp. But i reckon a decent set of pads will fix the RS)

    I was really disappointed with the rs brakes compared to just basic Mazda 6 stock ones, but after a few 1000km they got a lot better.
