What were you quoted for installation? Or how much time did it take you to install?

DIY or installed though dealer? If dealer, how much, if you don't mind me asking.

Well I can confirm that the dension gateway 5 gwf1v21 works fine on the skodas with Columbus.
After a few bugs with firmware it works flawlessly.

Well, I don't know. I'm struggling to fit the Columbus radio back in, because the wiring that is supplied with 9WZ BT kit is too bulky and there is not enough room in the dash behind the unit and connector is in the way. I'm interested to hear from anyone who had used supplied click in wiring and had no problems with it.

    Hey Transporter 2 things ....

    1. When I fitted the basic BT (Parrot) to the Tig, there was a lot of space to the bottom right under the radio and I managed to get the BT bits into this space. Don't know if this will work for you in the Skoda though .... but the dashes are similar so who knows ....

    2. When did you get the Skoda ? .... TSI RS ? and if so why given all the TDIs .......

    1. All sorted out, BT fitted and working well. To everyone who plans DIY installation, depending what wiring you get with the BT kit, the installation can take a bit longer than you expect.
I took a few pictures and can make "how to" if someone is interested.
    2. On 10/01/11 and it's my daughter's fiancé's car, he went on 31/12/10 to road test Golf MK6 and came home with RS Octavia (delivered in 10 days), it's TSI.
He didn't road test RS TDI (I'm happy for him having TSI) .

It's much nicer car than Golf and better value too.

Heath I have a MY11 spec superb with multi function steering (3 spoke). When you say easy - is it just a matter of taking the unit out plugging into the back and thats it?

I know with the dension kit I had to pull the left side panel and glovebox to get the harness to go in nicely. The actual bt kit is sitting in the area behind the climate control.
