that's awesome great mods, i'm guessing you were not worried about the factory warranty at all?
how did you find the Stage 1 remap? I like it definitely noticeable power increase but feels like there's a dead spot between 2500 rpm 3000 rpm.

would love to know how much power difference from standard to the Stage 1 actually is?
How are you finding stage 2 ?

No, I'm really not worried about warranty
If you go to the APR USA site they have some videos explaining that they provide performance without breaking engines
If you do some research you will see other FSI & TSI engines making a lot more power than our stock Octavia VRS

Stage1 certainly provided a lot more torque in the 3000 to 5000 rpm range - it was fun
Doing 0 to 100 km/h testing, stock versus stage1 I'm dead certain that stage1 is worse than stock over 5500 rpm
I was short shifting to avoid the problem and drive on the increased torque

If you go for an exhaust downpipe and stage2 you get a much wider power band from lower low and right through to 6000
It still pulls hardest from 2500+ upwards - but you notice much better pulling below that
to the point where you need to be careful in the wet (switch back to stock mode)

2500-3000 rpm is where I feel the increase of torque. There is something wrong with your tune if you have a miss in that range. My only issue is an occasional rough idle when cold. Email superchips and get them to sort it out.

Had this on my tiguan when I had the stage 1 remap from apr. New coil packs fixed that up straight away.

I had a miss also after a month or so running it, they fixed it up within minutes

I doubt a 2012 model would have coilpack issues...........

If it's not impolite to ask, how much was the Bluefin?

Also, were you able to plug and play or did you have to benchnthe ECU?

Re: Bluefined my 2012 VRS Octy

Loving my bluefin. Need better front tires!

I knew this when buying it, that it is what it is and there's no pushing it further like you can with other brands. But after I get a replacement downpipe would there be any way to get an improved tune updated from superchips or possibly "make the ecu realise" that there's room for more power now?
