I'll pre-empt & say yes but I look forward to the response.

Unless your car is currently misfiring , why bother with the R8 coil packs. The only thing that will have to adapt is your biceps from lifting the bonnet to check out your extra red paint.

Stronger spark because there are more windings.

It's very likely that you'll get a coil pack failure after a remap. For the $140 a set of R8 coilpacks cost it's cheap maintenance & then you have a set of stockers for spares.

You can't actually see the coils as the engine cover is in the way.

I can assure you taht as a Skoda owner I do very little to my car "just because it looks good". This would be like putting lipstick on a pig - delusional for the owner & embarrassing for the pig.

Just wondering, did you have to get the conversion kit in order to fit the 2.0t coil pack due to size difference? I was looking into this and they say you need a spacer of sorts for the 1.8tsi?

    Nope

I'm pretty sure I eyeballed the dimensions & they were the same. Just bunged them in

Checked the box - yes. That part# 06E905115E

BTW: catcon mod gave me a cell yesterday. It recorded 8x out of range. It appears it needs x numer of counts before recording a CEL.

    I deleted it with VCDS
