Black mesh on RS getting furry

I noticed after I wore a pair of pants that had fluff on them, a heap getting stuck to the seat a while back. Never got around to picking it all off, tried today and found the mesh is quite furry which was the real cause. Seems some people see it on Briskoda, but has anyone noticed the lower part and some of the upright of the seat getting a bit furry? Its really only the drivers side for me, as most of the week I'm the only one in it. Apparently in the UK lots of dealers replaced the fabric under warranty.

Yep I noticed it on the lower section as well, but I suspect it was due to the pants I had been wearing with press studs on the rear pockets and them scuffing up the material. I make sure if I wear those pants I make sure the flap is covering the studs. . I need clean the "fluffing" off as it increases the wear rate.
Would be interesting to see if Skoda would replace it under warranty..... let us know how you go.

I wear either microfiber dress pants, casual pants with no metal or catchy bits, or jeans with no metal studs at the back. Yet my seat is still fluffed up. The casual pants had fluff on them which stuck one day, but they are caught in fluff on the seat, so I think it was more the material. I'm due for a service soon so will ask about it. I've never had a car that had disintegrated seats so fast.

I have this problem on my VZ Berlina and could not work out why the valour was furry until by chance while wearing a pair of shorts with a rear pocket which had Velcro on the flap caught the fabric so after that i alway made sure the pocket was well done up.

Well the mesh is actually supposed to be the next thing up from leather to stop you sliding around, from memory in leather seats that same part is actually synthetic. It does work as its supposed to, it certainly holds you in. Leather Recaros quite often have the mesh and Alcantara for that reason. It's not as bad as it sounds, by looking at it more than 30cm away you would not even notice it. I just happened to be cleaning my car yesterday...

Never had a problem... the leather on the right hand side of my seat is the only bit thats slightly worn after 2 years and 10 months.. the fabric still looks like new.

I noticed it on mine too.

Velcro sticks to it and I reckon it is the major source of the fluffing.

Of greater concern is the fact that the stitching between the mesh and the leather is coming away on my drivers seat. I am waiting for the dealer to email me back. New seat cover required I suspect! Thta would also solve the fluffing issues.
