Soumatrix do a plug an play for Skoda; Skoda Upgrade Speaker Kits - Soumatrix
Haven't been really impressed with the sound system in my vRS and was wondering if anyone here has done anything to their audio system?
I saw that Focal made a plug and play system for the Golf Mk6, are there options like these for our vRS?

The Soumatrix Octavia pictures look like the MK2. I am not sure what the speaker differences are between the mk2 and 3 are though.
The OP does not mention whether he optioned Canton or not either.
There was a thread (not sure if here or Briskoda) where a lot of the blame on sub-standard Mk3 standard sound was put on poor crossover design. Apparently big improvements are achieved by installation of a simple different value resistor in each tweeter/main pairing.
I was quite happy with my 8 speaker system until I experienced the standard system in a UK Ford Focus a couple of months ago.
Have to say the overall sound balance was better than my Octavia Mk3.
Here's a thread on my upgrade

Am I the only one that think stock audio system (non-canton) is pretty decent?? The high is okay, slightly hollow sounding but the mid bass is quite impressive for a stock system, bass is quite decent too until certain point but by no means horrible. As long as the volume doesn't go past mid level, it's pretty good. Adjusting the setting and letting the speakers break-in made a big difference.
I have Harman-Kardon system on the C class, it's quite a system, the sound processing in HK system made a massive difference in terms of staging and imaging but the stock system on the Octi is quite good on its own .
