Bought mine from ECS (for a Golf) but haven't installed yet:

I can see in people's signatures that this has been done.
How easy was it? What else, besides the part numbers below, did you need to complete the job?
Its a stealthy upgrade and doesn't require having a massive FMIC hanging out of the front of the car
Part:
Intercooler (Audi S3) 1k0 145 803 P
Pressure hose (Audi S3) 1k0 145 834 AA
Connecting tube (Audi S3) 1k0 145 832 L
Thanks!

Mr TTS has one in his garage off his TTS, looks as new, be worth hitting him up for a deal.
Gavin
thanks for the link Ryan, did you get the pipes also or will you cut your current ones? maybe that only applies to Octavias, but i remember reading about MK 5 and 6 golfs too
i dont mind if its 2nd hand, ill contact him. cheers gavin!
Don't think there are pipes for my model (not as popular as the GTI and R as far as modding goes), so will just cut them.
wouldnt surprise me if they were all the same in the 'lower spec' cars. its cheaper to manufacture fewer parts
Sorry to bump this, Ryan did you end up installing this in your car? was it easy and did you need the extra pipes?
Wonder if it'll fit the TDI... Doubt it though, diesels use different I/C's.![]()
2012 Octavia vRS TDI. Darkside big turbo, 3bar tune, other stuff. 200kW/650Nm.

Not including hers...
just did a quick google. the same question has been asked many times, no one actually answers it, people only seem to be able to tell other people what an intercooler does - most of them are wrong.
check the part number for both the TSI and TDI, if they are the same, then the S3 one should fit. If they are different, then youll need to find one that is close enough that you can either change the pipes, or cut yours to suit.
for you, I think youll just get some thermal capacity for cooling on warm/hot days, and some added MPG.
