MY17 Superb 162TSI, Business Grey, Tech+Comfort Pack, APR ECU+TCU Stg 1, SLA, Rieger Splitter + Side Skirts, Eibach Pro-Kit Springs, Hardrace Swaybar, TPMS
Only 6 months warranty left , insurance ,they will never know , why tell .
I did it to my gti mk1V bigger jump from 110kw to 144kw , that was a very detuned motor in std dress.
Power deliver is very smooth and gutsy from 2200rpm , can cruise the suburbs in 5th now , much more relaxed driving .
Punch out of corners in the countryside is amazing , wait 12 months and do it , feels like you got a new car .
I think anyone saying the insurance company won't know is trying to claim they can dodge a bullet.
You do know insurance companies read these threads right. Your just making yourself a prime target for insurance fraud if you are found to have illegal or non-approved power increases.
If you want to make it all good, then get it engineered and tell the insurance company.
Remember the insurance companies love to find fault and walk away with your money.

Yep, if you don't tell them, you are pretty much handing them a premium without them owing you anything. They will try and use anything to deny the claim. Even if its unrelated, you have not held up your part in the agreement, so the whole thing is null and void.
As long as you tell them, i can't agree more, but it usually will cost you more to insure. I'm not saying don't do it, just do it right!
