Anyone seen this?

I had a good look at the ridge above the number plate on my wagon, and there seems to be small "holes" in the paint coverage on the outside edge. From looking at it carefully, my theory is that the paint doesn't like to stick to the mastic they have used to seal the edge, thus leaving gaps in the paint coverage. I think I'll try to fill in my "holes" with some touch up paint.

At least here in Oz we don't get the constant moisture that they get in the UK (well, not in the southern parts of Oz, anyway), and none of the corrosive salt that the UK puts on their roads when it snows.

I would put on it The Valvoline Rust Preventative or similar.

Had a look at the courtesy RS wagon I got today, and it had holes at either end. My sedan has a faint crack at either end, but not so much a hole.
