Filled up Friday night. No issues at all.
Apparently the supply should be okay again by the end of this week.
I went to 4 service stations (BP) who had no diesel left in melbourne yesterday, before I went to an independant and finally filled up (probably on old mcdonalds chip oil, LOL)

Wonder if (that will be an excuse for) the price to increase
That said I'm always paying $1.60+ for 98-Ron petrol
I had issues yesterday, nothing in the SE had any, and for some bizarre reason none knew when it was coming....they all know, they just had lower amounts delivered, so top marks for poor service/info from every brand from Glen Waverley to Knox to Nunawading....after 10 stations and the fuel light on for ages I parked home and rang around, eventually found one place that still had some, but the rest still had none this morning.
I wish there was some forewarning, I would otherwise have not been able to drive anywhere for work this week.
I was in NZ until Thursday evening last week and I heard nothing but diesel supply issue stories on the radio from Thursday night till today. That is the reason I filled up on Friday night rather than waiting till today or tomorrow as I would have normally done. How much more warning do people want?
I was driving all over last week and heard not a peep mentioned on the radio, probably depends on the station. I saw diddly sqat about it in the papers or news until it happened to me yesterday. I think they underestimated how many were going to run out, there was nothing on the twitter pages which is usually the first site for any info, nor on any of the fuel companies facebook pages. Caltex have no hesistation sending me competitions etc, but nothing like this that would be of any use.
When we rang or talked to any of the companies, none of them had setup a message or anything about it, or were any help. The servos were giving out that information only to hit a non attended number. Great work.
I saw it on the 6pm TV news on the weekend (Saturday?)
I don't think I have seen TV news for so many years it's not funny, let alone weekend news...that prime time dealing with dinner and young kids.
There was one SMH article online about it yesterday morning....there has been plenty of talk about the refineries, but nothing until this morning about servos being drained since Friday. Saying there are production problems is a lot different to there not being any diesel at all. I really don't think they expected to be cleaned out, maybe all the production talk scared people into causing that?
The real issue is the regional towns out of diesel, especially where harvesting is going on at the moment.
And emergency vehicles (MFB, etc), although I think Shell said they set some extra aside just for them.
