    Another one!

So like many others I finally got my car this week. White Octy RS Wagon. TDI, DSG, Sunroof, Leather, Xenons, PDC, MDI, Fogs, Privacy glass etc etc.

Now the minor mods must begin. I have got a VW Bluetooth kit ready to go in, and have ordered a rear camera kit as well. Am thinking a TV tuner kit while the whole lot is out too. Not sure how much of a pain it will be to install. I was thinking of tackling the Bluetooth myself.

I also have Eibach springs. Might wait for 1500k or so before i put them in. Want to add a whiteline sway bar as well sometime soon. In the braking dept I have EBC Redstuff pads ready as well. I have run these on my last two cars and the difference between stock & these is huge. Very worth the investment.

Any other tips or tricks on easy things to tinker with?

I have already purchased white specific wax / sealants etc and plan to give a decent detail over xmas.

Next things on the list are:
    S2T DSG Paddles
    Ross-Tech VCDS
Oettinger Flash (Or any decent alternative)
    Internal bike rack

I am coming from an XR5 which was a pretty quick car once the boost was wound up. Amazingly the TDI engine feels similar in many way as the 5 pot Volvo engine was all torque.

Car will be heading back and forth from Bondi to Chatswood each day and has RS in the euro plate so will be easy to spot.

    Cheers,

    Chris

Two words for you: Lucky bugger! I have no doubts that you'll enjoy it thoroughly .

One mod I'd fine interesting is the RS-P's grille. There's a guy on the 'Skoda Owners in Australia' Facebook group that put it on his new RS wagon and it looks really good as it follows the lower intake's mesh theme.

I thought he said he photoshopped that in to see how it would look and will be looking to get one of the Grills from Superskoda.com sometime soon.....

Hey what's the deal with these S2T paddles, i saw them and think they'd just get in the way more often then not cosnidering the amount of room around the controls.....

Considering it's a TDI, you might want to have a read of the Diesel section in the forums - have a look at the Provent200 for the Oil recirc system, so the intake/turbo/intercooler doesn't oil up too much. In fact there is lots of good info on diesels in there from CAI, Exhasts etc.

With the extra grunt you might want to look at an anti lift kit for the front ( less lift, meaning it keeps a bit more weight over the wheels ) , so ya get a bit more traction. Not sure how that will tie in with the eibach springs and whiteline sway bar - you may not need the lift kit.

Yeah i have looked at the grille. Am unsure of it though. I might get one to experiment.

I have to confirm with s2t the paddle type. The pics i sent them were inconclusive. Might try to see if anyone on briskoda has done it. Some of the other compnaies that make them have nice versions too.

Has anyone with a octy done the provent yet?

I'm looking to do it soon, hopefully get off my butt and do it before Xmas. I've done roughly 18,000km in mine now and I have noted the intake near the turbo has oiled up a little. I'm driving across to Adelaide after new years so good time to get it sorted before the long drive.
I'd like to keep things clean if possible and if I slip in a CAI & BlueFin later down the track, there should be a little more crank case pressure involved in which case the Provent will help out keeping the turbo/intercooler/DPF less oiled up.
