First mod was to ditch the standard plates and fit some Euro style ones to fill out the spaces. I don't know what it is but I just don't think Aus plates look right on most Euro cars.
So despite the previous owner using decent megs products, it wasn't up to my standard when it comes to paint.
No matter, I still had a fair bit of detailing gear in the garage from when I had my old XR8 (featured in Street Fords, was a good thing until 20k of engine was left at Heathcote Park Raceway).
A proper wash and a clay bar resulted in this.
Excuse the bearded bloke, detailing is hard and thirsty work and I'd consumed a few beverages by this stage. Glassy paint is good though.
And then after a proper polish and wax
Since then, not much has happened. Got some seat lifter handle inserts off eBay, fancy skoda tyre valve caps and some other random small stuff.
Until today when I installed my Whiteline torque mount insert courtesy of MountainBikeMike. Huge difference these things make and being a manual none of the NVH issues either. The gearbag shifts feel a lot more positive and it has all but eliminated axle tramp. So much win.
Now for more powers.
