Ambition Wagon: This is what I want, how much should I pay?

    List price is as follows:

    Ambition Wagon Manual $24,340
    Travel Pack $1,300
    Columbus 8" SatNav $2,850
    Colour MaxiDot $150
    After market leather $2,500
    TOTAL $31,140

Could I get this for under $30K?

P.S. I'm happy to wait six months.

I think you should speak to a dealer to get pricing

depending on your negotiation skills, you may well get it for under 30k. but youll need to try first.

Obviously, but I've read of various forums that people are getting pretty good discounts on new Octavias.

I've bought a car through a broker before, who got about 5% off what I had negotiated. Any thoughts on using brokers?

Aim for 5-8% of the listed driveway price and that's what you will pay. Add the aftermarket leather quote onto that price and that should be the total.

At 6% that will be about 29.5k......I got a manual ambition plus wagon with tech pack color maxidot BT and upgraded to 18s for 30.5k. Personally I'd use the satnav on my phone and save 3k.......

To be fair the 8" Columbus is pretty good.

I would think $29,500 should be quite achievable IMHO. Just over 5%.

And yes, the Columbus isn't cheap but it looks better than add on and is a great unit from what I have seen. I would order it too.

You might want to add comfort Bluetooth if you use a phone in the car (voice control - $50)

Don't get me wrong, the Columbus is great but it's over priced by about 1800. Around $1k I'd consider it. Tbh ambition+ with tech pack has lots more goodies (canton, acc, xenon's, self park, city stop etc) that you will use all the time. The Canton upgrade IMO is totally worth the extra $600 it individually costs). Sounds so much better than the amb+ system (same as amb with travel pack)

Remove the leather price from your figures and go direct to the supplier. if you are using the dealer to get the aftermarket leather for you I'm tipping you're paying about $700 too much in that price. And then aim for 8%, easier attained when you tick a few options boxes.
