I've just put the custom setting in the VRS menu to all the same settings as the Sport mode but without the actuator, I hardly hear it now.
I see some of you have turned down the level of the actuator and are enjoying the change.
What is so good about the change?
How much of a difference are you seeing?
What about the current stock level is annoying?3
I plan of getting some enabling and adjustments soon and am interested as to why you have made this adjustment.
Thanks in advance

Obviously a personal choice. To me it was just too noisy and sounded nothing like the TSI engine I was accustomed to in my Mk2, it makes the car sound like an old Subaru...
The first comment my wife made the first time she got in the car was how noisy it was!
It was an easy change to make via VCDS, so I took it down to 50% level (from 100% ex-factory). Way better! But as I said, purely personal choice.

Yeah you can set it to different levels. I hardly notice it now.
Did mine to 50% the car is much quieter. It's personal preference - I did it myself using the OBDEleven dongle. You do hear more of the induction and other mechanical noises the car naturally makes.

Its in the VRS button settings, the individual one, I just turn it down and put all the sport settings on.
