7DSG recall - anyone been fixed yet?

Volkswagen recalls 2.6m vehicles over gearbox, electrical issues |Â*CarAdvice

"Volkswagen says electric malfunctions may occur in the power supply of its DQ200 seven-speed dual-clutch DSG automatic transmission if synthetic oil is used, and has recommended customers use mineral oil instead."

This is the first I'd heard of this, apologies if it's old news. It wasn't mentioned to me by the dealer!

It's fairly new news

My car is truly horrendous in stop/start traffic on warm/hot summer days in peak - so bad that I've often taken a route home that's twice as long, just to avoid the stop/start conditions, so I'll be interested to see what difference this makes, and hope they can make the exchange before summer. Might send Burwin an email.

Called macarthur skoda today, they are going to do the mechatronics campaign (recall). The gentleman said he is going to order the parts, hopefully booked in for next wednesday/thursday. Pretty prompt in my opinion.

Had mine done this week on my MY12 under warranty, at around 30,000kms. So far so good!
