    4 days with my Octy

    Need to crow about it.

    VRS TSI DSG Leather Combi...

4 days in, very, very satisfied. The quality, finish and performance are top draw for a 40k car. I have a mate that has a brand new Accord Euro, paid 8 grand more than I did and he is drooling hard. The only real thing he got that I didn't was sat nav, front sensors and electric seats (the only thing I'd like). But my leather is nicer, interior nice, goes faster, uses less fuel etc etc.

Its just a nice bloody car. (Skoda, feel free to use that as a slogan)

I have a few questions, but want to flick through the manual again before asking them

    Cool

Congrats bobski welcome on board , forget the gadgets .

Your drive will be much sharper than his , plus you have a big turbo shove mid range .

The RS just gets better as it ages , really comes on at 15,000k .

The push to open fuel cap is great.

The bit of plastic under my right thigh in the driver's seat is not. Lovely comfortable leather seats otherwise.

Figured out how to hook the fuel tank cap onto the flap when you are filling yet?

No I haven't yet filled it up, I read about it in the manual about it and rushed out to look at it I'd like to pretend my neighbours were gathered around going oOoOOO and aaaahhh, but it was just me acting like a giddy schoolgirl and a stray cat wondering what all the giggling and clapping was about.

That's called the puppy dog sell and it's why a dealer will let you take the car home overnight.

BTW. Congratulations but without wishing to burst the bubble too quickly our 1982 model BMW had the same fuel cap cover push to open arrangement and I think every BMW since has as well. It's not new by any means.

LOL, after I'd freshly waxed mine with Meguirs NXT II I slipped the edge of the cap over the flap and it just slid down and off three times.

I rejected the Skoda, and went for the Honda.

Could not be happier with my decision, and I am a long term VW fan, having owned 4 new VWs.
