I reckon it'll be something to do with the order times/lack of stock here. I'll restrain my hate for the Accord Euro, but I will say that it is not all it's cracked up to be.

Congrats Bobski great purchase mate! I'v had mine for a month now and still overwhelmed everytime i drive it....

BTW K1w1 Nothing in cars these days is really cutting edge, electric windows were designed and installed into vehicles as early as the 1920's, we've been going to the moon for 30 odd years and now in 2010 air conditioning is finally standard fitment.

Hate? That's a strong word, be careful how you use it. The Accord Euro is a very nice car. I know three people who own one, and all are very happy with their vehicles. It also needs to be serviced every 6 months, places short of only the Subaru Liberty and the assorted "Luxury" marques on the most recent ownership costs list, and rolls out the door for up to 20% more (depending on spec levels) than an Octavia. None of which makes it a bad car - but they pay for the extras they get.

Two of my work collegues have bought new Honda Accord Euros in the last couple of years, 1 sold the other looking to off load. Both complain of the same problem, gutless unless you rev it to 5k rpm. Other than that they are a nice car, if you re over 50.

I went the Mazda 6 hatch for that reason, they put all the power and torque down low for every day use, Honda put it where most people won't ever wander. Lack of fhe hatch was the deal breaker there as well, the boot plain sucks, two of my workmates complain about it all the time, not sure why though, when they were looking to buy I told them to make sure the boot fitted what it was supposed to.

The Mazda 6 hatch would have been our second choice too, except that the salesman was a touch too unprofessional for us to buy from them. We also thought the interior was a bit too busy as well, especially the steering wheel.

I've got a mid 2006 6, I went the RS last time over the just released 6, as it wasn't much different, and what was different I didn't like.

The old steering controls were spot on, the little joystick thing drove me mental in a Mazda 3 hire car recently...and the way everything has been separated out display wise was nuts.
