Cleaning windows is a simple process, a damp chamois, end of story. Why complicate it what is a simple process?

Do people still use chamois? I haven't used one in years. I have several brand new ones sitting on the shelf because the kids keep buying them for Fathers Day. Microfibre all the way these days.

Yeah I've got a really good quality one that I use. Can't beat the water sopping ability of it. But I use microfibre to wax/polish etc.

So their marketing hype has been successful after all. A damp chamois cleans every hard surface inside a car, glass, plastic etc and removes the film on the windows very well with no glass cleaner needed.

But, unless it is very clean, it will leave smears.

I was skeptical as to the merits of a glorified rag myself. Then I met this woman that had the cleanest house & the cleanest Alfa I'd ever come across - all microfibre & water, no chemicals. I've converted to the MF but am still hooked on the chemicals.

So, I did it a go and successfully cleaned 303 over sprays on the inside of the windscreen with just a microfiber cloth and a bit of water. Great!

But, I also saw, the 6 month old Ford Explorer's paintwork ruined by clean water and Enjo gloves fanatics. So, as Maris says and IMO, the chemicals are still needed for cleaning the car.

I've noticed on couple of the GolfMK5 badly cracked and falling apart wiper arms that are made of rubber (not the inserted blades) and I will order this 303 product to extend the life of the wiper arms, since our Golf is parked outside during the day.

I'm very happy with the 303 on all external and inside plastics.

Yeah it works wonders on the window sea trim. Looks revitalized.

Possible to use it on fabric? Or do I need the fabric product? What about wheels?

Wouldn't use anything else to dry a newly washed car but make sure it's a good one preferably genuine hide if you can find it not some cocktail of crushed bits of pelt.
A chamois should never be allowed to dry out for an extended period and they are better if they are soaked in warm water before use.
A real chamois will not scratch paintwork.
It's unlikely to happen here but a good chamois can also be used to filter water out of petrol. Put the chamois in a funnel and pour fuel through it and the petrol will pass through but the water will not (A trick for next time you buy dodgy fuel for the vRS is the middle of the Simpson desert )
