They have offered in the European market the silver inserts for quite some time in the vRS. They were never going to not have red in the RS230, especially being the sport option offered above vRS.

I knew I'd seen the gray somewhere before. Loving the Audi S3-esque diamond quilted alcantara inserts. That was one glaring thing they needed to fix in the interior, I always thought that the leather on the centre of the seats of the current RS wasn't the greatest finish. It looks like it needs stiffer backing or something.

The facelift Octavia is to have the 1.5 TSI Evo added to the line up; replacing the current 1.4 110 TSI ; outputs remain the same though real world fuel consumption is improved by 10%. Recent reviews of the VW Golf 7.5 fitted with this engine have been very positive.

The new unit is the 1.5-liter turbocharged four petrol that powers the facelifted Volkswagen Golf, which was confirmed to AutoExpress by the company's head of communications, Peik von Bestenbostel, who said that "the new engine is coming in the second half of this year".

Suspected getting the engine end of the year, though.
We've had the tech argument before - when the Mk7 came out its Columbus and Bolero equivalents were only 6.5" with the worst screen resolution I've seen since an early-2000's Volvo, where the Columbus (nav) in the Octavia has always been a wonderful 8" unit.

The cost of the 1.5L EVO engine against the 110TSI would see a noticeable rise in RRP with little benefit.

2017 Skoda Octavia pricing and specs

Octavia and Octavia Sport should be in dealers now. RS out in a couple of months. Small price increases.

2 packs available - Tech and Luxury on all models. Weird groupings (so you need to specify both i assume)

"lane assist (all models), side assist with blind spot monitoring (all models), passenger protect assist with nine airbags (Octavia)," is in the luxury pack. Whilst "premium Canton audio system with 10-speakers and digital equaliser " is in the Tech pack.

Looks like diesel variants are restricted to just 2... DSG RS hatch/wagon.

According to the brochure only the RS TDI is equipped with a wet clutch DSG, am I reading it wrong?

Can't stand that front end......and besides the new 9.2" infotainment system, im not really missing out on much. Love my MY17
