    Thanks I might try that, main reason I asked is the rims I want are a staggered set, I do like me some stance though.

    Bike is for the track rather than the Skoda

    But why would you want to do it ? Its not going to improve the handling on a front wheel drive and will make it impossible to rotate the tyres.

    Some people aren't concerned about the practicality & just want the looks. Hence, Briskoda has several octavias with bagged suspension and one guy that took a red Octavia & vinyl wrapped it in.... RED!

    While the OPs ideas aren't my cup of tea, what he wants to do isn't dangerous so I'm happy to offer suggestions on how he can achieve his goals.

    they understeer enough as it is. put wider tyres on the rear and youll make it worse.

    On a RWD Nissan, yes - On a FWD VW, no

    XL is not the load rating - it's the speed rating.
    I believe the octavia requires a min load rating of 89.

    W is the speed rating - XL means eXtra Load

    i just checked my (liftback) tyre placard - min load rating of 615 kg, or load index of 91.


    interestingly, the build plate states an axle weight of 650 kg.
