IMO tyres and brakes are two areas you NEVER skimp on. they will save your life one day.

I bought my last set of tyres for the R32 (Goodyear F1 Assym2's) off Tirerack and saved about 40% off what you pay locally. Shipped to my door in 2 days too.

After my OEM Dunlop SP Sport Maxx GT+ wore out in 16,000km I had some $150 Sava tyres put on.
40,000km later and after the same abuse, they're still going. Nice grip (Macquarie Pass ) and a little quieter than the Dunlops, too!!

    Would buy them again, too...

$355 from K-Mart (Castle Hill) for 18" Conti Contact Sport 2 fitted and balanced. I know, as I just had them fit a new tyre after I picked up a self tapper right on the outside edge of my front LHS tyre - couldn't be repaired because the puncture was too close to the sidewall, apparently...

Circumstances were such that I wasn't able to shop around for a better price. Couldn't do much, other than wince when I was told the price! The worst bit is that when the other tyres are worn out (all now about half way), I'll have one tyre that's only half worn.

I was quoted $89/each for 225/40R18's and 225/45/R17's today from Tempe Tyres, so I went with 18" rims instead of 17 like I was going to.

    wow that's cheap!

I could barely get premium contact 2s for the fiat for that price, and in 15"!
