They look awesome! Really keen now...... Heard some dodgy things about superskoda but!!
I spent $60 on some LED boot lights, got them in something like 5 days. Thats my only experience.
I know Tigger has a story or two, though.![]()

Yeah it was triggers story that us spooked me, already ordered my bits from milotec.... But the grill I wanted was only available from superskoda..... So now I don't know what to do!
The OPs location says Western Sydney. Lets face it, 25% of the roads in the Sydney Greater Metro area are in disrepair - this is pretty normal for any large 1st World capital city - certainly the ones I've been to. Western Sydney is particularly under-funded when it comes to road maintenance as they have large areas with a smaller rate base & lower land values to create a revenue stream.
Either way, while 19" might look good, the comparatively poor ride & potential for tyre & wheel damage are pretty high. I was only talking to Matt at Camden GTI the other day & he was saying he'd reverted back to 17" on his family truckster because he was constantly damaging tyres on the larger rims he had.
Not my cup of cha but it isn't my car so I don't care.

Whilst I know your making a point..... The roads at blakehurst aren't much better than western Sydney....... You can make all the assumptions you want but western Sydney is far from poor these days.... And I choose to live out here because I want a house and some land at a reasonable price.....Not an apartment looking over railway tracks. Anyway, enough of slagging where we all live. The roads aren't good anywhere but if you know how to read the road an drive accordingly, you can avoid damage.
My take on it all is if I was seriously concerned about ride comfort I wouldn't be doing this, I'm happy to sacrifice some ride for the look I want, and I did shell out reasonable coin on the kw ultra low v3's to try and gain a compromise between ride and look. I've been driving for a long time with cars with big wheel and tyre combos ( I only moved to Sydney 6 years ago and before that I lived in orange nsw) and touch wood never damaged and wheel or tyre for that matter, not even a wheel scrape on a gutter. So I guess I have learnt on how to drive a super low car with big wheels. As I've said in earlier posts..... I've had falcons and fairlaines all my life with big wheels (an currently have a genuine 1972 GT falcon in the shed with 18" simmons and lowered) and recently just relinquished my ford mondeo titanium hatch ( left the job I had it in), I did 100,000klms in 1 year in it and I had 20" wheels and BC racing coliovers, and NO damage whatsoever ever. So I'm not an amateur at this.
I'm sorry that I came on here and asked the question, I know it is public and everyone is entitled to there opinion, but other than one poster all that has happened is I have been slagged for trying to do sonething different, I really have a love for VAG product, infact the reason I'm in Sydney was for a job with Volkswagen Australia.
What I don't understand, is RS comes out std with 18" wheels so how is going to a 19" wheel going to make all the difference? In my experience it means squat.
Anyway, I guess that's what I get for trying to connect on a forum with other owners that I thought shared my passion. I'll post pics up when I'm done just to show, but I'll just have to learn on my own.
Mate, I'm not putting down Western Sydney & I made a point of stating that 25% of the Greater Metro Area has an issue (Greter metro extends from CBD out to lower Blue Mts). 3 of the 5 richest people in Sydney live around Bringelly. I know the area pretty well - I'm based at Campbelltown & my work area extends from Bowral to Penrith.
Your own words confirm what I said. The rateable value of the land is cheaper (hence you can afford a house rather than an apartment); the population is more dispersed, therefore the cashflow from rates is less and the land area is greater therefore the roads are longer & more money is needed to maintain them (except the money isn't there). It's just the economics of it. I help run a roads maintenance contract with the RMS & have extensive local government knowledge. No need to get defensive - it's a fact that where I live, we pay more $ per square metre of land & there are more of us jammed into a smaller area therefore the council has more money to spend on a much smaller area.
Sorry, can't help you with the scraperage when combined with lowering - I suspect the extra 0.5" will be a problem though.

I'm based in Bowral and the furthest I've been is Blackheath, Shell Cove, Wingello and Hornsby.
I've destroyed one tyre, but that was my fault (doing a u-ey and scraped the gutter)
I've hit a few pot holes pretty hard - mostly at night, local and before I got the LED light bar - only a tiny bit of rim scraping from that so I'm pretty happy.
I wouldn't go larger, I'm actually looking at finding some nice aftermarkets in 17" (of course, there is absolutely nothing) but hell - its not my car! Do what you want!
I'd love to see 20's on it, though. It would be awesome!!
I scrape pretty hard on some clients driveways. Although, the 90/118 would probably scrape on a couple as well. Times like that make me think I should have got the Scout.![]()
