My Mk2 1.9D was nearly 0.3L/100 optimistic but my Mk3 is absolutely spot on.
For the OP the mk3 has 3 consumption trip features: the same short journey feature as the mk2; a "current tank" feature that automatically resets to zero when you refill; and a "long-term" which I think resets automatically at 99 hours. All can be reset manually though.
