One rare beast.. I'm led to believe

So took delivery of my latest family member...

Karlos... It was planned to be fairly straight forward. Paid a small sum, knew he was missing his boot lid, figured I would get one from somewhere....

He has rust in the lower leading edge of the rear doors, A-pillar on d/s and of course some in the lower corners of the rear window... Not a huge issue, not compared to finding a boot lid... Someone help me save Karlos....

He's a 1984 Santana... Why is he in the Passat section? Well, I figured he was as close to a B2 Passat as you will get, just a saloon/sedan shape with a boot!

Made in the Nissan factory, and painted in Bluebird gold...
These have been produced from 1985 up until January 2013 in China to satisfy China's taxi needs....
Anyone here friends with someone in China, hooked to a freight crowd?

Just for interest sake it wouldn't be the same as a early audi 80 or 100 bootlid would it. Looks very similar.

they not the same... These are very much wider than the 80 and Teeny bit wider than the 100
