very nice, I had a sedan version of one of these, was an excellent car, the red one is a bit exy though. Wish I had the money for the white one!
I know this should probably go into the 'what's on ebay' section but I thought old school Passat enthusiasts might miss it there. If you'd like to see two rare birds out of curiousity, have a look at this:

AAAAAAARRRRGGGGHHHHH
I desparately wanted one of these for the Mrs for about 2 years.
Now we have the Tolly, 16v Hatch, so I guess we are sorted.
Red is too expensive, but white looks good. If anyone buys it for the engine, I`ll buy the shell off em OK?

Without doubt one of the best cars that VW have made. I had a GT one which would do nearly 50MPG or 130mph with a 6 foot wardrobe in the back. There needs to be a word above practical to describe the Passat wagon.
I don't know if it was the best VW ever made, but I kinda miss my 91 16v sedan. It was good at 4 yrs old and 55,000km, but a couple of wagons i've driven more recently that were for sale felt pretty tired.
Still, wouldn't mind a wagon, although they didn't get a tacho like the sedan. Even if they are a bit tired, these cars are dirt cheap now - even $5k isn't much
I wonder why the red car is a buy it now?
