Just got lucky on eBay I'm afraid. They do seem to be a genuine thing though. MK3 era. Try hunting down part number 535 698 137 They're M12 x 1.5 x 23.5 "Set of wheelbolts, anti-theft."

More progress and a whole bunch of new stuff into the car this weekend.

Didn't get round to putting these in yet. They're the inner tie rod ends, a rare find off US eBay.

These are an even scarcer item, the tiny clips that hold the chrome trim surrounding the windows.

Got the front brake hoses in too, one of them was a bit stubborn to undo.
Brakes bleed up OK and the pedal feels good, but I'll probably do a MK3 booster conversion after I've driven it.

These callipers are going in the bin now!

I was going to fit this new heater valve too but ended up using a Golf one as the orientation of this one was all wrong. Must have been setup for a LHD car I think.

The entire cooling system was pretty horrific, I kept finding worsre and worse stuff.
Here's some.
This is a spark plug that was used to block one of the lines.

After all of this I got all the lights working too.
Next is to finish up restoring the engine fan and get it back in there.
great work Pete! light at the end of the tunnel must be getting brighter!
Cooling system all sorted now and it's back on its wheels.
Seems to drive OK, issues with the cluster and dash blower.
I think I'd best put a MK3 booster in there, the 18mm m/c isn't going to cut it. Otherwise though the brakes seem to work.

Loving this rebuild. As with all your builds you're doing a damn good job making an old car newer.
Is that a Uniflow air filter? Standard Solex carb. (same inlet size as Golfs)?
Great job. Keep it up.
But I suppose you don't really need anybody cheering you on to get a job finished. :)
