I was about to ask, because you slipped that one past me in your hit list from the weekend!

Nope, too soon. We're going to wait a month before cutting and polishing.

I just brought a car, fiat 124bc, the guy had it for 23 years. He painted it 20 years ago and never cut and polished it.

Now i brought it, and cut n polished it, properly but. Took me 5 days. You should see the finish on it!! looks like new!

so i reckon, the longer you wait the better.

    Mate,

this is such a gorgeous car! I adore people that save cars like this one - a real classic! It must have been a lot of fun restoring it! I've done some work on my Golf Mk2 today but I am just not as gifted as you are! Sad to see that you are moving it to Washington state! :0)

Yeah, the whole exhaust system needs to go!

Might just paint that one silver for DOVW.

Got the boot lock in last night.

Doesn't sound like much but we had to drive to Springvale and pick up the lock from the previous owner at the Red Rooster store he manages.

Even the boot lock has a story!

We've got a couple of NOS ones but they're for earlier models, again this lock is a one year only part!

Gaskets for the lock are of course impossible to find so we dropped in to Bunnings with the lock on our way home and scoured the plumbing aisles. We came up trumps with a suitable washer from a tap body.
