shoot me down for knowing nothing about wheels but will five studs that fit onto a mk5 also fit a mk4, from what i've been told they have 17x71/2, ET45 stamped on them? cheers

Nope, MKV's use a 5x112 stud pattern whilst MKIV's use a 5x100 stud pattern. The latter is alot more difficult to come by imo...

u need the right offset as well u can fit between 43p - 30p depending on the size of the wheel and look you going for.
