Hehehehe, I got the grill
Shami, It's so straight forward to do anyone with no mechanical background can do it.
A few pointers:
Go and get yourself 1m of 3" flexi tube.
That flimsy black restrictive thing your looking at there HAS to go. It comes out quite easily. Only 1 screw holding it to the cars frame from memory. The other end just slides into the air box.
Firstly, try and run the pipe down behind the headlight. When I did mine I had to modify the plastic strip/bracket below the headlight so I could fit the tube down. You'll see what I'm talking about as soon as you try to fit it through. Try and use a small hack say so you can do it neatly. I don't know why it's there for, I guess its just to try to keep dust and crud out from behind the headlight.
Once done, the 3 inch pipe fits straight down easily. Try and position it in a spot that gets good air flow.
Now with your excess sticking up and out of your bonnet, route it around and you'll be very pleasantly surprised with how good a fit it makes into the air box.
I got my tube from supercheap and it's a silicon/rubbery type one that made the fit air tight.
I can't find my camera atm otherwise I'd take some snaps for you but basicly all you would see it a 3" hose going in to the air box where you currently have that plastic chocker chain attached to your car![]()
Thanks guys,
much appreciated!
