What oil to use - Bora 4motion

I want to do an oil change on my Bora, I have been worried about the noisy lifters on cold starts and my oil looks quite thin and dark so I think it's definitely time.

What is the best oil to use? I am assuming fully synthetic is best?

Also are there any special tools needed to do an oil change on a Bora v6?

So what do I need to do an oil change on a Bora 4motion? I am used to Jeeps and my stupid Holden ute that require nothing more than a socket set and a standard old oil filter clamp thingy.

wow, thanks for the info, that is great.

Is there anywhere local to get that stuff or is it better and cheaper from ECS? From my recent experiences with VW dealers I'm guessing they charge ten times what all that stuff costs?

On the ECS site under the price written in green is a note whether or not the item is in stock. Try and find items in stock if you can, because ECS do ship very quickly if it is in stock.

Needless to say mate, even with shipping we have an awesome USD rate and its WAY cheaper than buying it here.

Ordered those 5 items, they were all listed as in stock, $165 including delivery.

Next up will be Haldex filter, fluid, drain plug, washer and Haldex filter tool, $161 delivered.

    I like ECS
