Installed coilovers today.
I ordered new strut mounts and bearings ect, and the strut removal tools to go with it.
what S#$T quality tools they are. Thinking I should send ECS a email. Made the day just that little bit harder.
I reckon that core would be alright for a tuned std turbo. Certainly worth letting him have it for scrap value mate.

Did you go low?
Not crazy low, the rear has the adjusters and perches out so it can go any lower. Front could come down another 10mm or so to match up a bit better, or I could out the perches in to raise the back a little to match the front. Ill have to get some pics up tomorrow.
strut mount nut is the same size as a spark plug socket. I use one with a hex top so you can get a spanner on it, and put an allen key inside to hold the centre bit - slip a small rod over the allen key for more torque

Or just buy a rattle gun

I ended up just using the spark plug socket, But that tool (if it had of stayed together) would of made the job a little easier.
Its only a $15 tool but its not the point. The strut housing spreader tool worked a treat.
