I finally received my replacement auto-dimming rear view mirror from the UK (after the first one got lost in the mail) and swapped it in. I hope it doesn't crap itself again this summer in the heat..

I replaced the O2 sensor 2 weeks ago. And filled up today after the 1st full tank.
Fuel consumption is now about 0.5l/100km better. Down to 7.6 litres/100km
So the ROI on the $100 spent is
    0.5litres / 100km
    3.5litres per week (700km/week) or $5.6/week ($1.60/litre)
17.85 weeks or 4.5months to ROI

I'm quite surprised as I have been flogging it on the hwy to work each day sitting around 3000rpm in 5th.
    MK4 GTI - Sold
    MK5 Jetta Turbo - Sold

RE: After engine swap from 1.6L to 1.8T GTI, my speedo was running about 10-12% slow...

This morning I finally got the USB drivers for my ebay vagcom cable to work, and finally got into section 17, allowing me to change the frequency/multiplier number, so that my speedo is now nearly correct! So, now instead of my speedo saying 50km/h and I was actually doing ~56km/h, it now reads 50km/h when I am actually doing 49km/h!

I will write up more on this when I can to help others sort it out..

Nice one. One of the next things on my list after I do a whole tank with the new speedo settings... chasing fuel consumption..

Hahaha, not a priority, just wondering why it is so bad!
