Well washed and polished the Bora yesterday, ducked down town to get some more supplies, a replacement for my old polisher/buffer that died, some new wiper blades in anticipation of some rain eventually (got a set for the wife's car as well)
and cursing the birds of the 51st Central West Bomber Brigade, it would appear that they still think we are at war with Germany
I have been looking online at ecs for coil-overs but also considering their airbag setup, Might go coil-overs first then at a later stage I can play with bags. Dreaming of what to do next to get more grunt out of the beast
A frankenturbo looks nice but I have always been a fan of superchargers.

Ok, seemed like a big few days till i realised how little i've actually done. Though, for a first-timer on most of these jobs I reckon i've done ok - haven't broken anything or stuffed anything up.

    Front calipers before:-

    Masked up:-

    First coat:-

    4th coat:-

    Unmasked and done:-

Then decided to do my annual headlight clean up (left not done, right done):-

Then sealed but not sure its the beat sealant:-

    Rims prior:-

    Rims after:-

    And the final finishing touch:-

Today I clay blocked my GTI as it was caked in industrial fallout.
Then washed it, vacuumed, cleaned the windows, and put a new air freshener in (which smells horrible).
    Car looks mickey mouse.

Just need to polish it at some stage. Cannot be bothered today.

And installed a new Kenwood head unit.

Nice work on the rims, I was thinking of doing mine with a gunmetal grey as well, did you put the tyres off or do them in situ ?

Hey Garryo degrease your rims and tyres to remove any tyre shine (silicone) wipe your tyre with thinners wet sand the rims dry em and go around your tyre with masking tape and paper. Spray the rim unmask and your ready to roll again.

deflate the tyre if you can. Makes masking easier and easier to get right in that edge so it will all be covered.
Also use P800 wet sandpaper, make sure the whole surface looks satin with no shiny bits. Then you know its properly rubbed

she badly needs the skirts and rear bar fitted, then painted. Problem is the rear bar is cut out for GLD (i think) and not for a twin tip R32 exhaust setup. Needs a body shop for that.
