Put in Coilovers the other day. Haven't really lowered it any more (past the height of the R32 suspension) as the front control arms were already slightly past parallel, but handling and grip has increased markedly. Braking too has improved tremendously and feels more balanced

Platinum Grey mkV Jetta turbo, Viezu motorsport map, GT-CX 18", lowering to come
Had my regular bi-monthly scare with my Bora late last week when it started running like a sick diesel and ticking like a bomb about to go off. Changed the oil (found a place that still has some Castrol edge Sport in stock instead of the crap new Edge Titanium) and it was still running really bad so I took it down to CVWC for them to take a look and by the time I got there it was running smoother than it has in months, they did a VCDS scan and the only error they could find was a lambda sensor.
The general consensus seemed to be that it might have had a blockage in the oil pickup that caused a low oil pressure even though it had plenty of oil (it actually had too much oil) but whatever it was seems to be gone now that the oil has been changed and it has been driven a bit.
Great guys down at CVWC, they know these cars really well. Only problem is they are always booked out a month in advance. I guess that is an indication of how good these guys are (and how many VWs there are in Canberra, seriously they are everywhere, Golf GTIs are like Commodores down here)
Hey you guys who have lowered more than 40mm had any driveshaft issues???what would you say average life expectancy would be. Don't get me wrong I wouldn't care if they lasted a couple of years to get that special look happening just throwing the question out there.
